A Court Attendance Notice is a document that commences criminal proceedings. The requirements of a Court Attendance Notice are set out in Section 50 of the Criminal Procedure Act.

If you have been served a Court Attendance Notice it means you have been charged with a criminal offence or offences. You should immediately seek and obtain independent legal advice. If you have been charged with another person (a “co-accused”) you should each obtain separate legal advice.
